Evoked Potentials

Evoked potentials are a group of diagnostic tests that consist of stimulation and recording of nerve impulses.These may include vision, hearing and sensory stimulations by applying a few electrodes to the scalp or body for recording purposes.

Analysis of these results can help detect lesions and diagnose conditions. It can also explain some symptoms or exclude others. It is utilized in conditions such as multiple sclerosis, spinal disorders, optic nerve damage, tinnitus and others. The test usually last 15-20 minutes.
