Cerebral Angiogram
Cerebral angiogram is a diagnostic test used for very accurate detection of conditions that can affect blood vessels in the brain. It is done in the hospital as an out-patient procedure or for patients that are already hospitalized. It consists of placing a catheter in the blood vessel and injecting contrast which illuminates the blood vessels so that images can be made.
This may diagnose vascular conditions such as blockages, occlusions, inflammation, blood clots or other anomalies of blood vessels.
